How has the tour been going so ffar? Any good stories to share? I'm pretty sure Sarah wants to know who has the worst van farts.
The tour has been going great! We've been getting a killer response on our new record! Our hometown show was absolutely insane and the rest of the shows have been great as well. Our Merch guy, Corey Griffis, has the worst farts no doubt, haha.
Will this be your first time in Toronto? Is there anything you plan on checking out while in the city? This will be our 2nd time playing Toronto. We're really excited to get back there. The last time we played there was when we were on tour w/ A Day To Remember on the Toursick tour. I personally want to find some good poutine! I had it there last time, but apparently the place i got it at wasn't to good haha.
As a band traveling to another country what excites you the most? Is there anything that makes you uneasy about going and playing shows in other countries? Getting to meet the fans and see the sites is my favorite! The only thing that makes me uneasy is not having my phone working in other countries. How did you guys all meet? What was the force that made you decide to form Veara? Our bass player Bryan and I met in high school band class. We started jamming together and then a few months later, we met our guitar player Patrick. That's when "Veara" was formed. We went through a couple member changes, but later Brad joined up us our singer in 2008. He also took over the role as our 2nd guitar player. We've been at it for a while! A lot of us grew up listening to epitaph bands, how did it feel to be asked to join the label? Words can't describe it. It was the label we wanted. So when we were asked to be a part of Epitaph we were beyond stoked! Can you tell us about the craziest show you've ever played? The craziest show we've ever played was definitely Groezrock festival in Belguim in 2011. There were about 2 thousand kids watching us, singing along, hopping on stage, crowd surfing, etc. It was AWESOME! If you could play one place, literally anywhere in the world where would you want to play, and why? Australia has always been my #1. We had the pleasure of doing Soundwave festival there in 2011 and we're going back for Australia Warped Tour in November/December this year! Aside from that, I'd love to play Japan some day! I want to eat all the crazy food. What's next for Veara? We got some tours in the works that I can't announce just yet. Very stoked for them! We wanna be on the road non-stop supporting our new record, "Growing Up Is Killing Me"!
